Welcome to Suncatcher Food Forest
Hidden in a quiet little valley in Southern Oregon, in the tiny town of Azalea, Suncatcher Food Forest rests beneath a cathedral of cedar and pine. (Once upon a time, we were known Cedar Pines Ranch.) Here, the land whispers, the soil hums, and every leaf, root, and stone tells a story. The Queen of the property is a black cat named Bella. She insists that she runs the place.
We farm with hands in the soil and hearts tuned to the seasons. In a world that prizes uniformity and in an industry that rewards monoculture, we choose diversity, no-till cultivation, and regenerative stewardship. Half of our land is left wild, a sanctuary for native plants, birds, and woodland spirits. The other half is alive with fruit trees, berries, herbs, vegetables, and the curious plants that wander in and stay.
Our guiding belief is simple: when the land thrives, everything else flourishes. Rich soil feeds vibrant crops, clean water sings in the streams, and every bite of our food carries the living essence of the earth. Even the tiniest microbes—inside soil, plant, or human—rejoice in the abundance we nurture.
We craft more than food—we craft experiences of flavor and earthiness. From hand-picked fruits and vegetables to sungrown berries, refined sugar free jams, and small-batch, sprouted, and stoneground nut butters (walnut, hazelnut, almond, chocolate-hazelnut, watermelon seed, pumpkin seed, and coconut), every jar carries the taste of the land.
Dreaming of something sweet or magical? In addition to our refined sugar free jams, we conjure raw and baked cakes, cashew “cheeze” cakes, pies, superfood chocolates, energy bars, and other treats born from imagination and soil alike. No treat is too sweet and no job is too small. Here at Suncatcher Food Forest, we aim to please all.
Cannnot wander down to a farmers market? No matter—the food forest will send its bounty to you. We ship! Reach out at SuncatcherFoodForest@gmail.com and let the earth’s magic arrive at your door.
Suncatcher Food Forest aims to propagate regenerative permaculture paradise, while taking an ecologically oriented systems' thinking approach.
Suncatcher Food Forest is located in the gorgeous valley of Azalea, Oregon.
Nestled among cedar and pine trees, you will find approximately 60 fruit trees from apples, cherries, figs, mulberries, plums, pears, peaches, and persimmons, along with 5 different varieties of grapes. There are also berry patches, including blackberries, goji berries, marionberries, raspberries (Lale's favorite!), blueberries (Ronin's favorite!), hackberries, and kiwis, along with almonds, chestnuts, hazelnuts, and walnuts. We also have a pumpkin patch and two ponds.
During Spring, Summer, and Autumn, we are busy picking, pitting, shelling, jamming up, and drying the yummy harvest, in order to bring you high quality refined-sugar free jams, jelly, pie filling, dried fruit, apple butter, nut butter, and more. In Winter we prune and in Spring we give new vigor to the soil and sow seeds. We take great pride in our land, trees and surroundings. Everything we do follows organic biodynamic farming practices. We take an ecologically oriented systems' thinking approach, before we start a project.
We enjoy visitations from value-aligned family, friends, and new community members. Please email us if you plan to be in the area and want to explore our land, SuncatcherFoodForest@gmail.com
